Employee Appreciation Picnic
As everyone arrived at work the morning of the picnic, there was a heavy overcast and it was raining hard. By 10:30 a.m. the rain had quit and vehicles and volunteers moved onto the grounds to set up tents, tables, and food. By 1:00 p.m. over two hundred employees and guests had registered, including Tribal Council members and special guest Rep. Frank Moe.

Employees greatly appreciated the time off given by the Tribal Council to attend the picnic.

As the day cleared the large tents served well for comfort and shade. Lots of fun and prizes under there for the bingo players. Music provided by Gil Applebee kept the crowd entertained as did the volleyball games. Twenty-four players also signed up for the Horseshoe Tournament as did twenty players for the Golf Tournament.

An excellent BQ lunch of brats, hamburgers, and hot dogs were served up including side dishes of beans, potato salad, coleslaw, cake and beverages.

Response for volunteers was excellent. People helped to provide security, medical assistance, keep the grounds clean, set up tents, serve food, supervise games, etc.
