ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT                                         EARLY CHILDHOOD DEVELOPMENT
JOB CODE:  08-048  1 FT, $DOQ                                                    Close: May 23, 2008

Responsible to maintain the organization of program documents and coordinate procedures for processing office records.  He / She also assists Human Resources in the processing of Personnel Action and Change Forms, staff credentialing, background checks, hiring, recruitment, and all other aspects of Human Resources functions.  QUALIFICATIONS: 2-year Business Management degree preferred or high school diploma and a minimum of four (4) years experience working in an office environment or related position.  Knowledge of the inter-workings of Human Resources.  Excellent oral/written communication and public relations skills.  Must possess a valid driver’s license, current insurance or be insurable, and maintain a valid driver’ license to continue employment.


MAINTENANCE/HVAC TECHNICIAN (Onigum Head Start)   EARLY CHILDHOOD DEVELOPMENT

Responsible to maintain a clean and safe environment within the facility and grounds and also maintain service HVAC units in the AOB center and will work as part of a team with other program staff.  QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalent (GED).  Any combination of experience and training that would provide required knowledge and abilities.  Three years of increasing responsible HVAC equipment maintenance and repair experience.  Ability to perform skilled work in installation, maintenance and repair of HVAC equipment / systems.  Diagnose, troubleshoot and evaluate repairs required on HVAC equipment.  Must possess a valid MN driver’s license, current insurance or be insurable.


EDUCATION PROGRAM MANAGER (Head Start)          EARLY CHILDHOOD DEVELOPMENT

Responsible to ensure that children and their families are provided a high quality educational and culturally relevant experience in the program.  Responsible for on-going daily operation of the classrooms.  QUALIFICATIONS: AA in Early Childhood with experience working in the Early Childhood field.  BA in Early Childhood preferred.  CPR and First Aid certified.  Must posses administrative and supervisory skills with ability to work effectively with young children, families, and a large number of staff.  Maintain a valid MN driver’s license to continue employment.  Is expected to and able to obtain a CDL class B driver’s license with school bus / passenger endorsement within the 90-day introductory period.

This position is responsible for advocating for increased and improved access to all services for elders enrolled in the Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe.  QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalent (GED).  Minimum of two (2) years in direct service working with elders and people with various social economic backgrounds.  Prefer mature, seasoned individual with life experience as an elder.  Fluent knowledge and understanding of Ojibwe language preferred.  Enthusiastic commitment to improving the living conditions for the elderly.  Valid MN driver’s license, current insurance or be insurable.


BILLING MANAGER                                                                      HUMAN SERVICES
JOB CODE:  07-076  1 FT, $DOQ                                                    Open until filled

Responsible for development and implementation of the Human Services Billing Department, including staffing plans, mentorship and day-to-day operation of billing.  Emphasis is on exploiting all billing revenue opportunities for the division along with coordination of Division budget and finance functions.  QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in management or business administration or related field.  Minimum of five (5) years medical/human services billing management experience.  Experience supervising groups of multi-tasking, billing employees; possess exceptional leadership skills and multi-specialty billing experience, including Medicaid, Medicare, and other MN State ad n / or Federal programs, plus health insurance billing experience.  Child Welfare Management and MN Chemical Dependency Consolidated fund a plus.  Must have a valid MN driver’s license, current insurance or be insurable.

Responsible to enforce traffic laws and to promote traffic safety to prevent death and injuries on Leech Lake Reservation roads.  QUALIFICATIONS: Must have successfully completed Basic Police Training Program and / or program provided by a Federal Law Enforcement Training Center.  Must be POST Board certified or eligible to be POST Board certified.  First-Aid training and CPR training.  Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age.  Must have five years law enforcement experience.  Knowledge of policy and procedures, tribal, state local and federal laws.  Must have a valid MN driver’s license, current insurance or be insurable.


CASHIER                                                                                           BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
JOB CODE: 07-020   PT and FT,  $8.25/hour                                  Open Continuous

Provide assistance and support to the managers by coordinating C-Store services, to include: cashier duties, store cleaning and stocking.  QUALIFICATIONS:  One (1) year of experience preferred.  Computer knowledge helpful but not required.  Must have excellent communication and customer service skills.  Strong analytical and problem solving skills helpful.
