ELDERLY NUTRITION PROGRAM

The Elderly Nutrition Program provides nutritional and supportive services to Elders residing on and near the Leech Lake Reservation.  The program provides nutritionally well-balanced meals to eligible participants fifty-five years of age and older who are enrolled in an affiliated Tribe. 

Meal sites located throughout the reservation provide Nutrition Education Sessions. Site locations include Ball Club, Bena, Sugar Point and Cass Lake.   The Elderly Nutritional Program also provides Information and referral services for the elderly as well as transportation to meal sites for elders with limited means of transportation. 

Elderly Nutrition Program sponsors other Special social activities such as an annual Christmas Dinner, Thanksgiving Dinner, etc throughout the year.  For more information, contact the director. VOLUNTEERS WELCOME
